Bjällansås Studio is an artist built and artist run studio. The space is situated on Bjällansås Gård - a farm in the countryside on the west coast of Sweden. The studio welcomes applications for work visits summer 2017 and beyond.

It´s a studio where you can focus on artistic practices, choreography, dancing, movement practices etc.

SURROUNDINGS

 

Apart from working in the studio you can go for morning swims, rest on a hill, run in the forests, sauna, climb, snorkel in the archipelago, pick berries, herbs and mushroom as well as meet people from the local area. The studio is located inside a barn from 1924, with five minutes walking distance to the sea, the swimming area is situated in the archipelago of the Swedish west coast.

The atelier is just below a hill where you can walk up and have a wide view over the area. Besides the atelier there is a small river called Bjällansås Bäcken.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

 

 

Would you like to spend you summer holidays in the beautiful Swedish west coast, help building a studio and getting into working on a farm? Are you interested in working collectively?

We are searching for volunteers that are interested in carpentry, plumbing, cleaning, hosting, cutting grass, digging, painting, coordinating, conversing, updating, supporting, reflecting, dancing, explaining, growing, cooking etc and joining our community during the summer 2018.

What we can offer during your stay: A nice working atmosphere, learning new skills, meeting new people, place to sleep, kitchen, shower, washing machine, toilet. Apart from working you can go for morning swims, rest on a hill, run in the forests, sauna, climb, snorkel in the archipelago, pick berries, herbs and mushroom as well as meet people from the local area.

As a volunteer here, you work around 4-6 hours a day.
